IEL's values-based psychological test Nurse Match to enhance selection at Queens

A new values-based approach to its recruitment procedure has been introduced by Queen’s University Belfast School of Nursing and Midwifery. It will ensure an increased focus on personal attributes and values in line with government policy.  Research work to simplify and enhance early screening for suitability and make it more cost effective is at an advanced stage. 

This involves use of IEL’s advanced psychological test called Nurse Match designed to evoke nursing values and score their stability and emotional significance.  The Research Director and Senior Lecturer at Queen’s Dr Marian Traynor said it is “an important new addition” that is “robust” and will “better determine a candidate’s suitability to nursing”.
